Supporting service families with exceptional education and individual care

Academic excellence with deep support
Underpinned by our values of compassion, courage and curiosity, every pupil is encouraged to aim high, with the right balance of challenge and support. Expert teaching, small class sizes and a culture of encouragement ensure that each pupil can grow in confidence and realise her potential. In an all-girls environment, leadership, independence and resilience are nurtured every day – qualities that stay with them for life. We live our motto ‘You Can at Calne’ every day.
MILtary families
A community that feels like family
Boarding life fosters strong friendships, shared experiences and a daily rhythm that feels secure and uplifting. For families balancing mobility and deployments, this continuity becomes a vital anchor. With outstanding pastoral care and staff who truly know each girl, parents can feel reassured that their daughter is both safe and flourishing.
HM Forces discount
Proud to serve those who serve
We are proud to serve those who serve. Many military families seek independent education to provide their daughters with continuity, opportunity and the reassurance of exceptional care.
Recognising the commitment and dedication of service life, we offer enhanced support through our HM Forces Discount for pupils at both St Mary’s Calne and St Margaret’s Prep:
- For families eligible for CEA: the fee payable will be the CEA plus 10% of our boarding fee. This ensures access to an outstanding education with minimal additional cost.
- For families without CEA: an automatic 10% discount on boarding or day fees.
These discounts apply to members of the permanent British Armed Forces or reservists on full-time duties.
We offer a small number of early years boarding places for pupils aged 9 to 11. Pupils board in the Lower School House and go to school at St Margaret’s Calne, our prep school which shares our campus. These limited places are for girls who intend to join St Mary’s in Year 7.
