Linguists celebrate culture and cuisine at MFL Society annual supper and quiz
On Saturday 28 February, the Sixth Form MFL Society ventured to La Bobina in Marlborough for our fourth annual supper – and what a lovely evening it was. Twenty linguists attended, representing all the languages we offer: French, German, Spanish, Mandarin and Italian, making for a lively and sociable occasion.
We enjoyed a delicious and varied selection of tapas, including gambas pil pil, pimientos de Padrón and queso manchego.
Our Lower Sixth Student Head of MFL, Tabi, organised a challenging quiz featuring no fewer than 40 questions. Congratulations to Addy, Tabi (Upper Sixth), Lottie and May who were crowned the winners – chapeau!
It was a wonderful moment to see so many Sixth Formers united by their shared love of languages and culture. Well done to all who continue to pursue this important skill to such a high standard.
