After 13 very successful years at St Mary’s Calne, Mrs Diana Harrison, Senior Deputy Head and teacher of physics, will leave the school at the end of the 2026 Spring Term.

St Mary’s Head Anne Wakefield said: ‘Mrs Harrison has been an integral part of St Mary’s Calne in so many ways. It is difficult to put into words just how much she will be missed. She has played a central role in life across the school and led the school admirably during the 2023–2024 academic year.

From writing the timetable year after year, leading numerous aspects of school life, managing the school calendar, teaching physics, to attending concerts and cheering from the sidelines of many a match, Mrs Harrison has championed Calne girls at every possible opportunity.

I would like to add my personal thanks to Mrs Harrison for her support and guidance since I joined the school in 2024, for which I am very grateful. ‘

Although Mrs Harrison is retiring at the end of the Spring Term, there will be opportunities in the coming Summer Term for us all to thank her properly.
