The PGSM arranges social events for parents and pupils and fundraises to support talks and activities that enrich the experience of pupils at school
Social events
The PGSM runs a range of events from coffee mornings and drink receptions, usually timed to coincide with the start of end of term as well as the ever-popular Christmas Fair and PGSM Family Tennis competition. The PGSM also support whole school events including Sports Day, Spring Garden Party for Grandparents and Founders’ Day.
The PGSM plays an important role in organising social events for pupils from an après ski event to a Hawaiian-themed gathering. The PGSM is also supportive of The Lily Ball, our annual ball for Upper Sixth leavers and their parents, a much-loved annual event.
PGSM Support
The PGSM supports the school at Open Days and other admissions events enabling prospective parents to meet current parents. The PGSM has regular meetings with the school fostering a partnership between the school and parents.
Funds raised by the PGSM, through events like the annual Christmas fair, are spent on activities and initiatives to enrich the lives of pupils at school. Examples include Fight Like a Girl self-defence workshops, a talk on drugs awareness and one on the effects of vaping. New in 2025, the PGSM sponsors five ‘Win Your Own Race’ awards presented to Upper Sixth leavers at our annual Founders’ Day prize giving.
