Pupils encouraged to ‘Own Your Future’ at National Careers Week workshops
Last week’s Own Your Future day offered a wide range of activities for all year groups in celebration of National Careers Week, encouraging girls to take initiative and understand that the future is something they actively shape, rather than something that simply happens to them.
We were delighted to welcome future experts Tinker Tailor, who delivered engaging sessions to prepare our pupils for the 21st-century world of work. UIV developed self-awareness, Fifth Form focused on personal branding and work experience, and Sixth Form built digital employability skills.
TechSheCan guided LIV and MIV through exciting careers in tech and engineering, discovering pathways and future opportunities that don’t yet exist.
LV pupils also sharpened their public speaking skills with our fantastic Communications Coach and LAMDA teacher, Mrs Cohran-Patrick, ahead of their speaking endorsements.
Our sincere thanks go to all the staff involved for their help in making it such a genuinely useful and inspirational day, with tools and ideas that the girls can take forward to ensure they do indeed own their futures.
