Over the weekend 15 LV girls headed to the Cotswolds for the Silver DofE Assessed expedition which was over three days. The expedition challenged the girls to use their navigation and outdoor skills which they had learnt on the Practice expedition and training day.

Here Jessica, reports on her expedition experience:

‘Taking part in the Silver DofE expedition was both challenging and exciting. Over the few days, we had to rely on ourselves to navigate correctly, carry our bags, and manage our time carefully. There were moments when we got tired, especially during the long walks, but we kept motivating each other and stayed determined. In the evenings, we enjoyed relaxing at the campsite and sharing food after a long day outdoors. The experience taught us how important teamwork and preparation are when facing difficulties. By the end of the expedition, we all felt proud of what we had achieved together.’

Congratulations to all the students who took part, they have now passed this element of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards. They now need to complete their physical, skill and volunteering sections, with an award presentation planned for the end of term.
