Pupils urged to get creative this summer with the Desmos Maths Competition

The Maths Department is excited to launch its first-ever Desmos competition, ‘A Mathematical Memory of Summer 2026’, inviting pupils to get creative and showcase their mathematical imagination.

Open to all current and incoming pupils, the challenge encourages participants to design an original Desmos creation inspired by their summer experiences. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday 14 October in the Autumn Term.

Pupils can register for a free Desmos account at https://www.desmos.com/ before sharing their finished work with Student Head of Maths, Jessica J. Entries will be judged by Jessica and Dr Kewley, with a prize awarded for the most creative submission.

Whether playful, artistic or mathematically ambitious, the department is looking forward to seeing pupils bring their ideas to life through Desmos.
