The annual St Mary’s Calne Show, held at the West Wilts Equestrian Centre, was once again a great success. The touch arena eventing course, consisting of six show jumps and ten rustic-style cross-country fences, required accurate riding to achieve the optimum time.
The girls representing St Mary’s rode with great maturity and were a real pleasure to coach and be around throughout the day.
In the 80cm class, the team of Bea L, Kitty F, Ami F and Eugenie F all produced strong rounds, finishing on a team score of just eight faults to secure an excellent third place. Bea L also finished sixth individually.
In the 90cm class, Bea L and Eugenie F both rode very well. Bea was unlucky to just clip a pole, while Eugenie demonstrated the strength of her position and seat when her green horse jumped enthusiastically over some of the fences.
Thank you to everyone who came to compete and support, and a big thank you to West Wilts for hosting and running such a fabulous event.
