St Mary’s Calne Tennis Academy (SMCTA) provides a structured coaching programme to pupils of St Mary’s Calne and St Margaret’s Preparatory School.

To increase pupil participation to 50% of the school population.  Become Quarter-Finalists at the ISTA Championships.

We provide a professional, structured programme at all times, where the pupils always come first.

Our Coaching
Our Professional Tennis Coaches offer coaching to St Mary’s girls through the entire academic year and lessons are arranged around academic subjects. The coaches also provide individual lessons for St Margaret’s pupils after school and at weekends.

There are many other new opportunities to participate in tennis such as individual lessons, volunteering, gaining qualifications such as Tennis Leaders and competing. SMCTA recently launched a Box League competition for players of all abilities wishing to play a little extra each week. All pupils in our coaching programme receive a complimentary membership to the Academy and all players will be signed up for a British Tennis Membership, which is also free. This has many benefits including an Opt-In to the Wimbledon Ballot and receiving a tennis rating for entering tournaments.
