We are delighted to announce that three of our girls, Anna and Lydia (MIV Form) and Loelia from the LV, came 1st (Anna), 2nd (Loelia) and 3rd (Lydia) in the Calne Music and Arts Festival Poetry Competition!
After many girls put their names in the hat, five girls from the LVI and UV were lucky to be selected at random to attend the Lesser-Spotted Sciences Day at the University of Oxford on Thursday 6th October.
We were delighted to welcome back into school on Tuesday 11th October, Lotty Lawrence, who came to talk to girls in the Sixth Form about setting up the first women’s lacrosse team in Colombia.
On Saturday 8th October the girls from all the Houses had a lot of fun at the annual fun fair in Marlborough - the Marlborough Mop.

On the evening of Tuesday, 4th October, we had the pleasure of welcoming Alex Hibbert - a polar explorer, author and photographer - to deliver a lecture on his experience of polar skiing and exploration.
A very happy group of girls and staff met together dressed as fairies, elves, goblins and ogres for the Osmund Company Supper on Wednesday, 28th September.
On Saturday 24th September, the girls in Joyce Walters House (UV Form) were invited by Keate House, Eton College, to join them for a hog roast on Queen's Eyot.
On average 15% of St Mary's Calne girls go on to study at Oxbridge every year and we are delighted to hear how they have been excelling in their studies.
On Tuesday 27th September, we hosted a fantastic fundraising evening at the Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, as Michael Crawford performed in the highly acclaimed new British Musical The Go-Between.
