Three Gold DofE teams set off to the Yorkshire Dales at the end of the Summer Term to complete their final expedition. It was another very hot year, with the girls having to carry extra water and getting refills a number of times throughout the day.
On a glorious summer day (29th June) the warmest of the year so far, the whole school gathered to celebrate Founders’ Day.
On what was undoubtedly the hottest day of June and possibly of the whole summer, the Founders’ Day Marquee was rapidly transformed from a prize giving marquee into a sensational “Secret Garden” for the annual UVI Leavers' Lily Ball.

On Thursday, 27th June, 24 excited UIV (Year 9) girls, or rather, gods, goddesses, kings, a princess and princes, a vengeful granddaughter of the Sun and a beautiful Evil, all travelled to Bristol Grammar School for the annual Festival of Latin Drama
Congratulations to Year 11 pupil, Agnes, who was one the winners of the Simon Powell Poetry Prize – a national competition for GCSE students.

On Monday 24th June, we were delighted to welcome back 2013 Leaver, Dr Alice Pennington.
Sunday 23rd June saw the girls of St Cecilia’s House (Year 9) heading to Cirencester Park Polo Club for our last outing as a House. We enjoyed learning the basics of polo from the top of very tame wooden horses, while appreciating the grace and beauty of some very real ponies being prepared by grooms, near to our picnic spot.
