On Wednesday 24th January, staff and students came together in Chapel to enjoy the latest instalment in the series of Music @ Lunch 'bite-sized' concerts coordinated by our wonderful music staff.

The concert began with the brilliant Horn Trio in E Flat by Brahms, performed by Mrs Loveridge on the violin, Mr Cheshire on French horn, and Mrs Allard on the piano. The piece started off the Music @ Lunch concert on a lively, vibrant note.

This performance was followed by the winner of the Sir Bryn Terfel Song Prize, Katie (UVI), as well as a performance by the winner of the Sir Tim Rice Musical Theatre Prize, Elowen (UVI). It was an amazing opportunity for the two pupils to showcase their talent and share their love for singing.

Miss Wilby then played a beautiful rendition of Fauré’s Morceau de Concour followed by the charming piano duet, Mozart's 1st Piano Duet, played by Miss Arthur and Mr Joyce - some amazing performances by our staff to inspire our young musicians!

Finally, Bach’s Violin Concerto in E Major was performed delightfully by Letty (LV), ending the concert with a gentle, delicate atmosphere.

Overall, the concert was an enjoyable 'munch' of music over lunch that set us all up for the rest of the day, and is a wonderful oppurtunity for staff and students to celebrate their love for music.
