All the co-curricular opportunities at St Mary’s are part of the Donaldson Programme. The Donaldson Programme (named after a previous Head) ensures that every pupil gains an all-round education whilst at school and learns the skills they will need to go on to lead happy, successful lives. Over the course of their time at the school, pupils will participate in a range of activities so they experience all six strands of the Donaldson Programme:

• Leadership
• Scholarship
• Global Awareness
• Skills for Life
• Giving to the Community
• Higher Education and Careers

The Donaldson Programme is unique for every girl and is delivered through our volunteering, clubs and societiescareers programme, Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme, speaker programme, debate days, trips and for the Fourth Form (Years 7 to 9), our termly Donaldson Weeks.

At Sixth Form, the themes of the Donaldson Programme evolve into the Donaldson Award.
