Mrs Chris Hayes
Mrs Chris Hayes
Day Housemistress
Mrs Hayes is the beloved Day Housemistress of School House and is a long-standing member of the team. She is ably supported by Daisy, her beautiful black Labrador, who is the friendliest dog you will ever meet! Her interests and hobbies include baking, walking and looking after her four grandchildren.

House Tutors from amongst the academic staff also come in during the evening. The system of House Tutors works well, giving students an opportunity to meet with teaching staff in a more informal environment.

School HouseSchool House is home to St Mary’s LIV Form (Year 7). The girls sleep in dormitories of between three and six girls. The day girls are well integrated into the House and they have futons within the dorms. This enables them to stay overnight on occasions. Day Girls are always invited to sleep over on the first day of term and also the first Saturday night of the year if they wish.

Daisy, Mrs Hayes’ lovely black labrador, also plays an important pastoral role, providing cuddles as well as hoovering services! Mrs Muir’s cat, Smudge, and her rabbits also love receiving lots of attention in the School House garden.
