On Tuesday, staff and students came together to enjoy the latest instalment in our 'bite-sized' Lunchtime Concerts in the Chapel coordinated by our wonderful music staff.

This time, we were treated to some stunning performances at our first harp recital under the direction of our new visiting harp teacher, Mr Ian McVoy.

Mr McVoy opened proceedings with a fabulous rendition of Mozart’s Fantasy in D Minor, followed by solo performances from Myra (LV) and Coco (LVI).

Millie (UV), Rachel (UV) and Coco (LVI) then performed beautiful duets with Mr McVoy who reminded us of the privilege that it is to play with other musicians and focus on blending sounds. As harpists, our students rarely get that chance and it was a real joy to see and hear them perform today, both as soloists and as parts of an ensemble.

Congratulations to our students and to Mr McVoy – here’s to the first of many!
