Last Friday, eight of our Young Enterprise members went to Greenways Business Park in Chippenham to represent their company, Beeco, in the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire Young Enterprise County Competition. Here, Arabella T, Bea W and Lara G report on the experience:
'We arrived at 10am and set up our stand showcasing all of our products with a range of posters to display our journey and brand. Our products included eco-friendly beeswax wraps, rolled wax candles, and oyster shell candles. Before the first set of judges came round to ask us questions about our company, we were able to have a look at our competitors and all the other stands. The other stands were all impressive including products such as eco-friendly golf tees, resin decoration, acorn books, seed bombs, and even another beeswax wrap enterprise.
After a busy morning of answering questions about our company, we did our presentation where we showcased our products, talked about our processes, and challenges along the way. There were also opportunities to sell some of our products to the judges and other competitors; we sold over £30 worth of products on the day!
At the end of the day, the prizes were given, and we ended up winning the Company of the Year in Wiltshire!! This means that we are off to Cornwall on the 16th of May to compete in the Regional Final!
