We are delighted to announce that one of our LIV (Year 7) pupils is the first runner-up in the 2022 Bookbuzz design a book cover competition!
Bookbuzz is a reading programme run by BookTrust, with the aim of increasing literacy in children, and each year the pupils in LIV and MIV (Years 7 and 8) get to choose a book from the Bookbuzz list to keep for themselves. As part of the programme, the pupils can then design an alternative cover for their chosen book, and these designs are entered into a competition. Tabitha has come first runner-up with her cover design for The Haunting of Aveline Jones by Phil Hicks. She will win a bundle of books of the genre of her choice – well done Tabitha!
