The Confirmation Service is one of the highlights of the school year; a significant staging post on the journey of faith for many girls and an important rite of passage. On Saturday, 18 girls were confirmed by The Rt Revd Dr Andrew Rumsey, the Bishop of Ramsbury. One parent commented, 'The service was lovely and joyful and the Bishop was very engaging and interesting.' He preached on the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15), reminding us that we have a God of infinite love who comes to meet us even when we are long way off and is always ready to welcome us home. The Service was rich in colour, movement and music, with the Chamber Choir singing beautifully throughout.
The breakfast before the Service and the reception afterwards were a delight and thanks as ever must go to the Catering Team. It was lovely to see so many family groups enjoying time together across the generations and celebrating this key event so happily.
