The start of a creative journey! In the heart of St Mary’s, a delightful meeting unfolded between the MIV students and the vibrant Reception and Year 1 classes from St Margaret's Prep. The purpose? To embark on a collaborative journey that would not only forge new friendships but also spark the creativity needed to plan a captivating story for an illustrated storybook.
The MIV students, bubbling with enthusiasm, sat alongside the Reception and Year 1 classes, forming an eclectic mix of ages and experiences.
To break the ice and foster a sense of camaraderie, the students engaged in a series of questions encouraging the St Margaret's students to talk about their world. From their favourite animals to sharing anecdotes about their most cherished storybook characters, the room echoed with laughter and excitement.
With the foundation laid, the MIV students will now embark on the exciting journey of planning a story and creating the illustrated storybook, showcasing the wonderful artistic talents of our MIV. Once completed in June, the MIV and St Margaret's students will meet for unique storytelling session and the MIV will present their completed books to St Margaret's.
