Just before Half Term, the A Level LVI (Year 12) class presented their powerful devised play Six of Clubs to an audience of peers, parents and staff.

Inspired by the play Posh and utilising the ideas of practitioner Katie Mitchell (synchronised movement, Live Feed camera, and ornate sets), the play dealt with serious themes of sexual exploitation and 'rape culture' in schools and the 'Everyone's Invited' website. Playing six university-age private school boys, the girls dealt with these in a sensitive, sometimes humorous, sometimes intense way. Audience feedback was overwhelmingly positive, many feeling that it was the best devised piece that they had seen. Congratulations to Leah, Annabelle, Rosie, Phoebe, Charlie and Lucy for creating such individual characters, and such an inventive and memorable final piece!
