St Mary's Calne
On the evening of 15th September, the UV (Year 11) students took part in a Careers Networking Evening.
Here, UV pupil, Claire, describes the evening:
'The nine careers represented a large variety of job areas from Medicine, Law, Creative Industries to Human Relations and Finance. What I found especially useful was learning about each person’s unique and personal journey to the role they are now in, something we were able to learn about through the small group discussions.
We had the opportunity to ask questions about personal experiences, suitable A Level choices and the realities of everyday life in each profession. Our guests were very interesting and happy to answer a whole variety of questions. It was an insightful evening and it certainly started us all thinking about our next steps after St Mary's.
Everyone was so approachable and friendly, and we all learnt so much!'
