After laying solid foundations with research and preparation throughout their LVI year, the UVI are currently submitting their UCAS application forms in earnest for entry into UK universities next year.
Twenty-one of the UVI submitted ‘early deadline’ applications to Oxford, Cambridge or for Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary, and the very first interview invitations have starting to arrive this week.
At the time of writing, over half of the year group have now submitted applications, and the rest are making excellent progress in finalising their choice strategy and Personal Statement, with excellent ongoing support from their teachers, tutors and the Sixth Form team.
Of these submitted applications, 19 UVI pupils have so far received some excellent offers from universities, including St Andrews, Bristol, Exeter, Warwick, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, Birmingham, Royal Holloway and Newcastle. These are for courses ranging from Classics, Law, History of Art, International Relations, PPE, Geography, Sociology and English Literature to Chemistry and Physics.
Best of luck to all remaining applicants to courses in the UK and several overseas.
