On Sunday 6th November, the U19, U16 and U14 Netball Teams had an early start at Marlborough College to compete in the County Netball Tournament. The Seniors had a hard draw but played extremely well under pressure and finished their competition in a well-fought 3rd place.
The U14s had seven matches in their tournament. Playing as a relatively new team, they worked well together and throughout the tournament they improved in all aspects of the game. They won three of their matches and narrowly lost two of their matches by just one goal. There is so much potential in this team! At the end of their competition, they finished in 5th position.
The U16s had a storming day - a little like the weather! They played six matches and won all of them very convincingly. They clicked as a squad and really gave 100% on the court. They worked collaboratively and with humour and finikshed their day with 53 goals for and 16 goals against. With this fantastic performance they have earned the title of U16 County Champions - a brilliant result! They will now go forward to the National School Regional Netball Tournament in Bournemouth this January.
Tournament play is always a challenge but tests you as a player; so much learnt and to bring to the future! A huge congratulations to all that played.
