‘Es weihnachtet sehr’(Christmas is coming!) in the German Department. The MIV and UIV (Year 8 and Year 9) Germanists got into the Christmas spirit this week by baking and making gingerbread houses in their German lessons. The UIV baked and decorated ‘Butterplätzchen’, with some fantastic designs, including a portrait of Frau Falconer in the shape of a gingerbread lady.

The MIV girls were creative by assembling gingerbread houses ‘Knusperhäuschen’ using German ‘Spekulatius’ biscuits and then decorating them with some lovely designs.

All the girls enjoyed eating their creations and we wish everyone a very merry Christmas!

Frohe Weihnachten!
