Intothewoods TNEarlier this month, the Fifth and Sixth Form Drama Students went to the Theatre Royal, Bath, to watch the musical of Into the Woods. It was written by Stephen Sondheim, and cleverly integrated well-known fairy tales into a fascinating whole. The standard of acting was amazing and it was very inspirational to see how young some of the actors were. My favourite character was the evil witch who turned into a different character in the second half after the spell had been lifted. The set was fantastic and very creative – my favourite moment was the appearance of the giant, represented by two massive baby feet upstage and a hand swooping down; with the baby voice it made it very creepy! Thank you to Mr Ellis for organising the trip, it was a lovely musical and a great experience.
