On Thursday the 13th of October, the MIV girls experienced an 'MFL Global Tour' that involved a variety of cultural activities including craft, dancing, food tasting, and an introduction to Italian.
The students gained an understanding of a number of different festivals and cultures, in particular the ‘El día de los muertos’, an important celebration of the lives of the dead in Mexico. They are also now well prepared for any future visit to the ‘Oktoberfest’ in Munich, which attracts over 6 million visitors every year. They enjoyed learning some traditional and fun dances, as well as tasting some typical food of ‘Bretzeln’ and ‘Würstchen’ and a drink of ‘Mezzomix’. The day was rounded off by exploring Islamic influences on the Spanish and French languages and culture.
