On Tuesday 27th September the students gave a presentation in Chapel about Peer Support. This involves selected pupils, who are Peer Supporters, going round each week to their allocated House and giving all the pupils in that year group the opportunity to seek support and guidance.
With this network, it also allows the Calne community to flourish and grow; St Mary’s uses horizontal boarding and therefore it can sometimes make it difficult to reach out to students in other year groups for help. Whilst having the support from Tutors and House Staff can be great in so many ways, having someone who has been through similar experiences can offer so many advantages. We believe that this is a valuable contribution to the school and provides comfort to all the pupils who seek this.
