Many congratulations to Tabitha (MIV, Year 8) who won Anthea Bell Young Translator’s Prize in Mandarin Level 1 in the South West region. This is a fantastic achievement, especially given the number of entries received this year was over 15,000!

A team of undergraduates and professional translators judged the entries to the competition and all commented on the excellent standard of entries this year.

Well done to all participants of all languages for learning how to correctly capture the meaning of the source content within the context, and ensure accuracy in terms of language and style.
