Last Thursday, on a very wet evening, Debs Wakeham (Fernie, 1989 Leaver) and her husband, Julian, kindly hosted the third of our Regional Drinks receptions.
Alumnae, parents, former staff and friends enjoyed drinks and canapes - made by Rosie Simmonds (Wilson, 1989 Leaver) and enjoyed catching up on news and school events as well as plans for the 150th anniversary year.
It was also a lovely opportunity to share stories and memories, and guests were encouraged to send these details to
Dr Felicia Kirk thanked all the guests for their support and, along with Cate Bell (Benson, 1989 Leaver, Governor and Chair of CFT), shared details of plans for this anniversary year and the Chrysalis Bursary Campaign. We very much look forward to more people joining the 150 Society and supporting this ambitious and genuinely transformational bursary programme which embodies the school’s aims and values. The Chrysalis Campaign - to build a strong and sustainable bursary fund - is aimed at changing lives for the better, opening doors to opportunities that never seemed possible and creating brighter futures for many more girls at St Mary’s.
There are many more events planned during this celebratory year and more information can be found here.
