The UIV (Year 9) German classes enjoyed a traditional German-style breakfast on Monday 24th April. The menu included sausages, salami, cheese and smoked cheese, hot chocolate, orange juice and bread rolls with a variety of spreads: strawberry jams and Nutella. There were also cornichons (a type of pickle), honey, and a Swiss-style classic muesli. To help us, the food items were labelled in German.

Myra, Rachel, and Emilie set up the table for a nice family breakfast, just as they would in a German household. Jessica and Candy made us all hot chocolate to go with the delicious breakfast. Phoebe tried Nutella and salami together, which we agreed was a surprisingly nice combination.  Everyone really enjoyed the breakfast and it was an amazing experience.
