The highly anticipated UIV (Year 9) Inter Company Lacrosse competition took place last Wednesday with everyone asking the big question - 'Could Poore continue their success from the Sixth and Fifth Form Inter Company Lacrosse competitions?' (The answer is... Yes!!)
Poore started the competition with a statement win against Ed Rich, taking the game 6 – 1, which set them up in a strong position for the rest of the competition. Hot on Poore’s heels were Moberly who started off with a solid win against Grostette.
As the games continued, Poore kept the winning streak going to win all their matches, including a 3 – 0 win against Osmund who were also scoring wins against the other teams. As the final games approached, all was to play for as only a few points separated second to fifth place.
Although Poore ran out of winners, it was the closest competition so far, with just four points between the runners-up (Osmund) and fifth place (Grostette).
