On Wednesday 3rd May, six members of St Mary’s Young Enterprise Company, Seed for Thought, represented the school at the Wiltshire County Final, held at the Royal Agricultural University near Cirencester.

Over 20 girls in LVI have taken part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme this year. Ably led by Poppy, Seed for Thought have created a range of beautiful handmade cards and printed cards containing small envelopes with wildflower seeds.

Amy, Charmaine, Deborah, Milly, Poppy and Thea brilliantly represented the company at the County Final. They set up an eye-catching trade stand, skilfully answered questions from a wide range of judges and professionally delivered an engaging presentation telling the story of their company so far.

The judges were particularly impressed by their enthusiasm, teamwork and warmth and the girls received lots of positive feedback about their adept problem-solving, sparky entrepreneurial spirit and the manner in which they conducted themselves on the day.

They deservedly won the award for Best Financial Management.

We would like to congratulate the girls on their achievements and praise them for their efforts throughout the year.  It has been an exciting journey and they have developed a whole host of skills that will be invaluable in their careers.
