This week, our LIV Choir and Junior Consort spread Christmas cheer by performing for residents at local retirement homes. Firstly on Monday, the LIV Choir, led by Mr. Sandon-Williams and Mr Joyce on keyboards, visited Penn Court in Calne, where they sang festive favourites together with the residents and finished with a beautiful rendition of their Autumn Concert choral piece, Silent Night, O Holy Night, which was a treat for everyone to enjoy.

On Tuesday, the Chamber Choir visited Marden Court in Calne for their eagerly awaited annual festive performance while the Junior Consort continued the choir’s tradition of visiting two Residential Care Homes in Chippenham. Every year, Consort visits St Andrews and Fairways Residential Homes bringing festive cheer in the form of sparkly Christmas jumpers, festive hats and of course beautiful voices! The girls enjoyed speaking to the residents and performing with such joyfulness. It was lovely to hear Consort sing their festive choral repertoire with such musicianship and dedication, and to hear individual voices sing solos, duets and trios. The two venues gave the girls the important opportunity to be part of the local community in the festive period. A big thank you to Mrs Dudley Fryar for coordinating this heartwarming retirement home tour with such festive flair and Christmas cheer!
