Last month’s Charity Week in aid of Stroke Association was a tremendous success with many pupils and staff participating in the varied and fun line up of events as we returned to school following February Half Term. Familiar now with the causes of a stroke and the appropriate steps to take should someone appear to be suffering from a stroke, the Charity Steering Group have been wrapping up the weeklong programme of events and adding up the amount that they have raised.

Grateful for the many donations for the second-hand clothing sale the girls ended the event with a surplus and today this was taken to the local Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Services Shop – Survivor – in Swindon. SDASS is a former school charity and championed by Miya, Liv and Eliza. Liv & Eliza then went on to also volunteer there in the summer holidays - it seemed the most appropriate recipient for the extra items.

To recognise the exceptional effort and enthusiasm of the LVI Steering Group, Mrs Wakefield hosted two celebratory teas with the most beautiful Easter themed cupcakes to thank the girls which they very much appreciated.

We are delighted to announce that they have raised £5,020 for Stroke Association. The JustGiving page remains open should anyone wish to make further donations.

Thank you to everyone who has participated and supported the events.
