Open Mic Night, featuring 35 talented performers and a live band, brought Charity Week to a spectacular close, showcasing the school’s community spirit in support of this year's charity, the Stroke Association.
Elo, from the Charity Week Committee, reflects on the special event:
'Friday evening’s Open Mic Event, a highlight of the school’s Charity Week, radiated with energy as students took the stage to showcase their talents. The theatre buzzed with excitement, filled with the chatter of friends and family who had gathered in support.
Guests were welcomed with elegant canapés paired with wine and sparkling elderflower, while the Delscey Burns Theatre sparkled in purple lights, balloons, and flags, proudly showing our full support for the Stroke Association, whose colours are purple and white.
One by one, performers stepped into the spotlight, their voices soaring through the air, with most accompanied by the live band, created from musicians from our talented Music Department. Thunderous applause followed each act, uniting the audience in shared admiration and celebration. More than just a showcase of talent, the night truly embodied the school’s community spirit.
