As we returned to school for the Summer Term, the UV were facing looming deadlines and the start of exams - but there was an extra buzz of excitement in the air. We gathered for a memorable final photo in our uniforms - a sight to behold, to say the least - and the anticipation for the weekend ahead was palpable: Gibbfest was almost here!
Gibbfest - what can only be described as the greatest weekend in Gibbins history! From custom festival wristbands granting us exclusive access, to some of the best burgers and loaded fries we’ve ever had - all enjoyed outdoors with friends, house staff, and even a few tutors (shoutout to Mrs Wilson, Mr Griffin, and Mr Abini for joining the fun!) - the vibe was electric.
At 7pm, we returned to the Gibbins Common Room, where massive speakers, LED batons, glow sticks, and a foam cannon awaited us. We danced the night away, with some sneaking off for a quick shower and change before diving straight back into the party. Soaked, soapy, and covered in grass, it was without a doubt one of the best evenings we’ve ever had.
