St Mary's Calne
On Monday 28 April, the PE Department hosted its annual Sports Awards Evening. The event featured an inspiring talk by England Masters Hockey player Sabina Falcone-Healy, who shared valuable insights with our students before presenting awards across all year groups. The evening celebrated the achievements of our students, recognising their dedication, teamwork, and spirit.
Students also took part in fun challenges, including a paper aeroplane competition to see who could make the best flyer.
The evening also marked the end of Freya T’s time as Head of Sport. She handed over the role to our new Heads of Sport, Tilly S and Baylee E. Freya has been an outstanding role model to all the girls and a tremendous support to many. We wish her the very best in all her future sporting endeavours.
A huge thank you to the entire PE Department for making the event such a success, especially to Mrs Lucy Long, whose efforts helped make the evening truly spectacular.
