On Monday 25th April, we were very fortunate to welcome an alumna, Ariana Watling, and her father, who are both jewellers, to conduct a fun and informative workshop on how to make jewellery.

As a school, we have submitted three of our finest pieces from the UIV to the Art Bytes Competition. We now have the opportunity to vote, so that the pieces gain entry to the Virtual Exhibition, with the potential to go on physical display at the Arnolfini.

Congratulations to Evie, LV, who has been selected to represent St Mary’s in the 2023 ARTiculation GCSE category.

On Monday 14th February, MIV enjoyed an afternoon visiting the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize exhibition.

We are delighted to hear that alumna, Celia Ellis (2019 Leaver), has had one of her paintings featured in the February 2022 issue of British Vogue.

In December, Selena Corsellis (2020 Leaver) had the opportunity to take part in the Tate Collective Christmas Giveaway which ran on its social media platforms.

Alexa Gibb, 2021 Leaver, was awarded the Curator’s Prize at this year’s 'Presence of Absence' Art exhibition in London and has recently been in touch to express her gratitude. 

On Sunday 5th December, Rebecca Rezakhani-Hilton, our wonderful Artist In Residence, created a festive and fun workshop for students across every house.

On 24th November, LVI Artists enjoyed a printmaking session with professional printmaker, Jemma Gunning. 

St Mary’s Calne hosted their fourth triennial London Art Exhibition at Mall Galleries from 2nd to 7th November 2021. 

The school's fourth London Exhibition of Art, 'Presence of Absence' is currently in full swing at Mall Galleries, London. 

On Monday 11th October, as part of their Donaldson Week activities, the MIV (Year 8) girls took part in a Silent Filmmaking Workshop.

Last Saturday the LVI (Year 12) Artists went on an exciting Art trip to the monumental Silbury Hill and the famous village of Lacock.

UIV (Year 9) and Senior Artists were delighted by the insights into the artwork of our creative resident in this week’s Lecture. As a new initiative, The Studio 3 Lectures are an effective way for students, across the year groups, to engage with our current practitioner in-post.
